How about the MAINE Marathon? It is not exotic or new to any of us but it would be a pretty race. Oct 4th I think, It will be peak colors for fall.
Other reasons are entirely selfish- travel expenses and what to do with the kids, etc.. The race site didn't have pictures but I know the route is well chosen. Here is the link to the comments section. I thought they were nice. Of course we would be happy to host family racers here. We can make lots of room.

ReplyDeleteThat looks interesting, and not too hilly. The ones who didn't want to run a half marathon could team up as a team of 4 to do the marathon--shorter distances for each person. It would be fun to make a course for the little guys to do a mile or 2 -with different age divisions. WSe could also do a Family Olympics this summer and have longer races for them there.
